When sending documents…

The best thing about working at a lender like Quicken Loans is that my clients can be sitting in the comfort of their own living room taking charge of their finances by refinancing their home.

Our amazing tools allow you to securely upload documents using nothing other than your cell phone. It’s amazing when you think about it. Because everybody’s phone is a little different, I put together a few quick tips to make sure those documents are legible for my underwriting team.

Tip 1: Make sure you get at least an inch of table

Phones take very high-quality pictures. Don’t worry, I can zoom in. Just make sure you take the picture head-on, and catch at least an inch of table. See below:

Tip 2: If you email them, send full-size

Nobody likes fuzzy paystubs, especially my underwriting team. I take pride in having one of the fastest average closing times of anyone on my team, and that at the fastest-closing company in the industry (“quick” is in our name, you know).

Tip 3: Send every page, even the blanks!

Bank statements sometimes come with a blank page or two. Believe it or not, we need those too!
